As the Marketing & Social Media Assistant at the Independent Bankers Association of New York State (IBANYS), I was responsible for all marketing materials, both print & digital media. Examples included content creation, social media postings, weekly e-newsletters, brochures, signage, video creation, email marketing and press releases. Furthermore, the utilization of analytics (website & social media) shaped the construction of marketing materials and measured their progress.

The Independent Bankers Association of New York State (IBANYS) is an association that represents the interests of community banks, both at the state and federal level. The organization works with a number of community banks throughout New York State, providing a membership that comes with many benefits including continuing education, representation of legislative interests, access to IBANYS events, networking opportunities and much more.

IBANYS also offers an associate membership to organizations that provide services to community banks such as accounting firms, law offices, insurance companies, web developers, among others. This membership offers the same benefits as a community bank membership, as well as access to potential clients.

The goal of both memberships is to support community banking in every way possible. Without community banks, there's little insight into how to meet the needs of people within the area. A local understanding and connection are what make community banks successful in their respective economies.
